Detectives are investigating a shooting in Hackney.
Police were called shortly before 1600hrs on Saturday, 22 March, to a teenage girl shot inside a residential address in Eastway, E9.
Officers attended the scene, together with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance (HEMS).
The girl – believed to be aged around 15 years – was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and have begun informing family, however they await formal identification.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Detectives from the Homicide & Major Crime Command are investigating.
Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances of the incident.
Three males were arrested near to the scene. They were taken to an east London police station, where they remain in custody.
