A man will stand trial next year accused of stabbing a neighbour to death following an argument about noise.

Paul Floyd Marshall, 51 of Elmhurst Road, Enfield Wash, appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, October 2, accused of stabbing Orville Brown, also of Elmhurst Road, to death on July 11.

The incident took place at a hostel where both men were staying. Mr Marshall allegedly knifed the 47-year-old following an argument in which a fellow lodger’s girlfriend was accused of making too much noise.

Mr Brown was treated for stab wounds at 2.15am but declared dead at the scene just half an hour later. The case management hearing will take place on October 23, with the trial being heard on January 6, 2014 at the Old Bailey, London.
