The file of Ben Needham’s case has been reopened because of new evidence that shows a young man who resembles Ben to be in a Roma camp in Limassol, Cyprus, according to the newspaper Dimokratiki tis Rodou.

A new witness that has not been named gave the evidence which included photos and video to an attorney in Kos Island. The local prosecutor who also obtained the evidence is expected to ask Interpol and Cypriot authorities to search for the young man in Cyprus.

Ben Needham had been holidaying with his parents on Kos (to which his maternal grandparents had immigrated) in the village of Iraklise when he went missing on 24 July, 1991.

On the day of his disappearance Ben had been left in the care of his grandparents while his mother went to work at a local hotel. He was playing outside a farmhouse the family was renovating when, at approximately two thirty in the afternoon, the adults realised he had disappeared.
