Delegation of “Friends of Cyprus” Committee to visit Cyprus

A delegation of the British “Friends of Cyprus” Committee arrives Tuesday to Cyprus for a three-day visit.

An official press release said the delegation will comprise the two co-chairmen of the Committee and members of the House of Commons, Andy Love and Nick De Bois, who will be accompanied by the coordinator of the Committee Mary Southcott.

The delegation will have separate meetings with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs Averof Neophytou, the Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Cyprus peace negotiator Andreas Mavrogiannis, the Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs Katie Clerides and the Environment Commissioner Ioanna Panayiotou.

They will also meet with the Chairman of the Committee on Cultural Heritage, Takis Hadjidemetriou, the Committee on Missing Persons and with Wlodek Cibor, senior adviser in the Office of the Permanent Representative of the UN Secretary General in Cyprus.
