You may remember in a recent edition of the Parikiaki newspaper we carried the story of Stefanos Charalambous, a young man who is beginning to make a name for himself across the UK in the world of kart racing, winning the London Cup Final in his age category.

Well, he continued to forge his reputation this week by winning again, this time at the Kimbolton track near Peterborough. Once again, he tore through the opposition in the day’s heats to set up a pole position start in the Final. And this, despite only finishing a disappointing 10th in the second heat – mind you, this was after being knocked off the track during the race and having to fight his way through the opposition from last place (26th)!

Once again, he led from start to finish in the Final, this time finishing nearly 100m ahead of his nearest rival, and once again he won a second trophy for the setting the fastest lap time.

Keep it up, Stef! We look forward to following this young man’s exploits throughout the season.
