The Seven a side tournament in memory of the late former Chairman of Omonia Costas Petrides  took place  on Sunday at the Aylands Open Space, Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield. Most of the clubs took part fun festive prelude to the start of the KOPA League season Omonia FC were there cooking up the Kebabs.

The competition was split into four groups with some shocks in the group stages Arachne beating Apoel 3-0 and Pendayia beating Tripimeni 2-0.

The top two teams from each group went into the quarter finals. Arachne, Olympia, Cetinkaya Cinar, Achna, Pendayia, Tripimeni, Livadia and Brotherhood.

Tension was now building up in the late stages with Arachne defeating Livadia on penalties and Pendayia beating Olympia 1-0 leaving an all second division Cup final between Arachne and Pendayia and what a close final it was although both teams players were tired they gave their all with great end to end exciting football, going into extra time and then penalties with Arachne coming out cup winners 3-2 on penalties.

The cups and medals were presented to the teams of Arachne and Pendayia by Pantelitsa Petrides the wife of the late Christos Petrides.
