President Anastasiades to meet with UNSG on Mondaye place on Monday.

President Anastasiades, who is in New York to participate in the 68th UN General Assembly, will attend on Monday a working lunch with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and later on will meet with the UN Secretary General.

On Thursday, he will address the UN General Assembly and give a speech at the high level meeting for the millennium goals.

During his stay in New York, the Cypriot President is scheduled to meet with other heads of state and government as well as with Foreign Ministers of Russia and China.

On Friday, the President will travel to Washington, where he will hold a meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden.

During his first visit to the UN General Assembly, the President is accompanied by first lady Antri Anastasiades, Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides and Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister will hold a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 68th UN General Assembly. His bilateral meetings include Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Guatemala, Marocco, Iraq, Australia, Montenegro, Libya, China, Thailand, Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Argentina as well as the President of Palestine.

The Cypriot Foreign Minister will also participate in the separate meetings between the EU Foreign Ministers, the US and Russia as well as the ministerial meeting for the Middle East.

On Sunday, he will participate in the tripartite ministerial meeting between Cyprus – Egypt and Greece, which will examine the current situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and other issues of mutual concern, focusing on energy.
