Appeal following woman and child injured in Finchley collision
Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Finchley that seriously injured a woman and a child in a pushchair.
Police were called at around 18:20hrs on Friday, 6 September by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to a collision between a car and a woman with a child in a push chair on East End Road N3, near the junction with Cavendish Avenue.
Officers, LAS and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene and the woman, aged in her 20s, and the boy, aged approx 18 months, were both taken by LAS to an east London hospital.
Both remain in hospital; the woman in a critical condition, the child in a serious condition.
The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, stopped at the scene. He was not arrested.
Collision investigators from the Traffic Garage at Northolt are carrying out enquiries into he circumstances of the incident.
The collision occurred as the woman and child were using a zebra crossing.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision, who hasn’t already spoken to police, to contact them.
