Six years and one prime-time BBC show later, WedgeWelly is now an empire.

Trio Sarah and Mike Longthorn and Laura Booth managed to tame the dragons and gained Theo Paphitis as a business partner.

“We started out with an idea and £500, we’ve turned it into an international company with a celebrity following,” said Sarah.

The Hull-based entrepreneurs have now launched Grace, a clothing brand focusing on dresses for women with curves.

 Although it seems a leap between the two businesses, Sarah said it has always been their plan to branch into festival wear.
