Former Cyprus minister taken from hospital to jail
Former Interior Minister Dinos Michaelides was moved Monday morning from Nicosia Hospital to the central prisons, according to CyBC radio.
He had been in hospital since last Wednesday when a Limassol court confirmed an international arrest warrant against him to be taken to Greece in connection with the corruption trial of former Greek minister Akis Tzohatzopoulos.
His lawyers are due to appeal to the Supreme Court today against the Limassol court’s decision.
