Cyprus teams in Europa action

Apollon Limassol boss Christakis Christoforou will be looking to exploit the inexperience of Nice’s youthful squad when the Cypriot Cup holders take on the French club in the first leg of the Europa League playoffs in Nicosia tonight.
Apollon will be the underdogs heading into the first leg at the GSP Stadium, but Christoforou believes that Nice are not without their problems as the Limassol club aim to become the fifth club from Cyprus to reach the group stages of a UEFA competition.
Meanwhile APOEL take on Zulte Waregem away, with chairman Fivos Erotokritou saying a lot will depend on his side’s performance in the first leg of their Europa League playoff in Belgium tonight.
The Nicosia club were sent controversially tumbling out of the Champions League qualifiers earlier this month, but Paulo Sergio’s men have one final chance for group stage football in the Europa League should they find a way past Zulte.
Meanwhile, Paulo Sergio and striker Esmael Gonçalves will miss both legs through suspension.
Club chairman Erotokritou believes his side will go through, provided they are not wasteful
