Mathaeus (Matty) Roberts, aged 8, recently signed for Arsenal U9s (5th April 2013).  He has been training at the academy since the age of 5 after being scouted whilst playing for Potters Bar Crusaders (he always played a year up as he was so talented) has since played for Hornchurch and Omonia. He was lucky enough to have had offers from various clubs including Spurs, West Ham and Chelsea but as a true Arsenal fan opted for the latter.  His aim is to make it to the first team!

He is half Cypriot mother Angie Roberts nee Kalou from Akanthou) and father Richard Roberts.
