Two school pupils have been arrested after trouble broke out following a graduation party for a Nicosia lyceum.
A police spokeswoman said that they had sent officers to the school as a precautionary measure following an outbreak of trouble last year.
Students went to the school premises after the party.
Students clashed with police after garbage bins were set alight and windows were smashed. A police officer was injured in the fracas.
Pupils were turning up for lessons but it was not sure whether or not any would take place, said the spokeswoman.
