Two people are in custody after a man was wounded in a shooting incident in a Morphou district village.
A 30-year-old man told police he went to visit a fellow villager in order to discuss some differences that they had. He claimed that he was shot at close range with a shotgun.
He was taken to the Evrichou medical centre with a head wound and then transferred to Nicosia General Hospital where he is out of danger.
A father and son have been taken into custody to help police enquiries.
