A joint search and rescue exercise between Cyprus and Israel got under way Tuesday
The exercise is taking place in the sea area south of Limassol.
Vessels of the Cypriot port and marine police and navy plus Civil Defence medical rescue teams and the medical and nursing services will be involved.
Five ships of the Israeli navy are taking part.
The exercise has been planned by a joint team from the two states coordinated by the Larnaca Search and Rescue Centre along with its Haifa counterpart..
