A police car has crashed into a flower shop in Crouch End along with a second car just 100metres from the scene of another crash involving police six days earlier.

The police BMW X5 and a dark Audi hatchback both mounted the kerb and careered into the front of The Urban Flower Co in Park Road, at the junction with Shanklin Road, at about 8.45pm last night (Tuesday).

Two fire engines, two ambulances and more police attended the scene. A Scotland Yard spokesman said initial reports suggested there were no serious injuries, and that it appeared the two vehicles collided before ending up in the shopfront. Photos from eyewitnesses suggest the shop is not badly damaged.

Last Wednesday lunchtime Islington Police were pursuing a car shortly before it ended up wrapped around a lampppost outside the Kiss The Sky Bar in Park Road, narrowly missing the glass-fronted Rocking Chair Cafe.
