A man stormed into a betting shop in Palmers Green and forced the cashier to hand over money.

Police were called to The Money Shop in Green Lanes just before 5pm on Thursday to reports of a robbery.

The man, who is described as black and approximately 30 years old, demanded cash from a member of staff before fleeing the shop and turning right into Green Lanes.

It has not been confirmed yet how much was taken.

He was wearing a dark jacket and dark trousers and had long hair.

Officers from the Flying Squad are investigating, but no arrests have been made.
