A gym has been severely damaged in a fire in Palmers Green overnight.

Seven fire engines were called to Shape Health and Fitness in Green Lanes just before 2.15am to tackle the blaze in the gym’s second floor.

Police closed Green Lanes for more than three hours while firefighters extinguished the fire.

Firefighters were at the scene until 9am.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 3.30am as a precaution, but no one was injured in the fire.
