This afternoon’s sudden and heavy rainfall has resulted in the police announcing that several Nicosia roads have become dangerous for drivers.
The police have particularly advised the public to avoid Constantinopoleos street in Tseri, the lower road by the Metro supermarket roundabout and the lower road by the Archangelos roundabout as well as Spyros Kyprianou (formerly) Troodos street in Strovolos.
Visibility on the Nicosia to Limassol highway was also very low during the heavy rains, the police said.
Drivers throughout Nicosia are also advised to be especially careful.
