Nicosia: Police hunt

Police are searching for two men after an apartment owner surprised three burglars at her home in Nicosia.
Police say that the 49-year-old woman started shouting for help when she found three men rifling her apartment. They fled but one was arrested soon afterwards by off-duty police officers who pursued him into a parking area where a getaway car was waiting. He is alleged to have threatened police with a knife.
Police found €1,500 keys and documents in the vehicle.
A 27-year-old foreigner is has been remanded in custody for six days while police seek his alleged accomplices.
