New Cyprus Federation of America President
At a recent meeting of the Federation of Cypriots in America in New York Costas Tsentas was elected President of the Federation, a post held for the past ten years by Panicos Pananicolaou, who did not run for reelection.
Costas was born in Karavas, Cyprus. He has served the Cyprus Federation of America for many years as Vice President and Executive Vice President. He has been a long time member of Lampousa and served as the Association’s president several times.
Reading out a message by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides, Emiliou praised the work of Papanicolaou for Cyprus and its people, and overseas Greeks.
Papanicolaou, who was decorated by Archbishop Demetrios for his work, said he received the love and appreciation of his compatriots, and moral satisfaction, from the post of President of the Federation, and called on all to continue their efforts to give the Federation the honour it deserves.
