Divisional One Cup

Quarter Final

Cetinkaya Cinar 1 Apoel 5

It was the only game last sunday, at one stage it was a spectacle. The first half was full of goal mouth action from both sides and the deadlock was not broken until the last few minutes of the first half when a cross from Jason Mason was tagged on by Richard Worrall to bang it into the back of the net for Apoel’s first goal.

The second half started bright for Apoel when they scored another Goal with Andreas Hajizenonos when he was left on his own to tap it past the oncoming Cinar keeper.

Cetinkaya would not give up and kept on battling and were rewarded with a cracking half volley goal from Volkan Altinook which put them back in the game and they were now really pressurising the Apoel rear guard.

Out of the blue though a proposed cross from the Apoel striker Richard Worrall on the left wing flew into the Cinar net to make it 3-1.

Cetinkaya’s heads then dropped and in the 75th minute Richard Worrall added another two goals within three minutes for Apoel both shots from the edge of the box. Giving man of the match Richard Worrall four goals and a 5-1 win taking Apoel. Into the Division One cup semi finals to play Rizokarpasso.
