The new second division champions Livadia really had a battle last night at Wadham Lodge against rejuvenated Omonia under the management of Michael Pieri and Kouli Antoniou.

The game was fast and furious, Omonia had the first good chance when they hit the post. It did not take long for the first goal to come. It was a very good worked goal.When a through ball left Livadia’s Leo on his own with the oncoming Omonia keeper and was able to slot it into the back of the net.

Within two minutes Omonia equalised when a long throw from the right ended with Adrian Campbell heading the ball into the back of the net.

In the 35th minute we had the goal of the game when from 30 yards Adem Ali blasted a free kick straight into the top corner of the net.

In the 55th minute again a headed goal from Adrian Campbell the hero of the game who also on hand to assist in the next goal after Raphael flicked it back for Metin to tap it in making it 3-2.

Metin added a second goal making it 4-2 and Mus made it 5-2.

Livadia got back in making it 5-3 when the Omonia keeper kicked the ball straight at Livadia’s player Matt Taylor who scored from the goal keeper mistake. This boosted Livadia and they made a late rally but Omonia held out and go on to play Cyprus Youth in the Semi Final of the Division Two Cup.
