New Salamis 2 Cetinkaya Cinar 1
New Salamis edged closer to the 1st Division title with a hard fought win over a very stubborn Cinar side who pushed Salamina all the way.
Salamina scored first on the half hour mark with Leon Mckenzie as Cinar failed to deal with a header from a free kick floated into the box. 1-0. Cinar equalized with half time looming, an Evren corner falling nicely to Josh Djelal whose fierce shot made it 1-1. The second half chances were limited and with 15 minutes to go Salamina took the lead as Mackenzie ran on to slot the ball past Cinar keeper Remzi, 2-1. With a minute left Cinar nearly got their deserved goal. A Hasan Ali freekick was saved by the Salamina keeper Michael Kalli, the rebound fell to sub Adem Esen but his effort was some miraculous tipped away by the Veteran Salamis keeper.
Apoel 4 Brotherhood 0
Apoel with one game left versus Tripimeni looks like the championship will be decided on goal difference .Brotherhood were lucky to be playing with ten men when their goal keeper was esnt off when the score was 1-0 with a Vas Krisikos Apoel and as a result a penalty was awarded against them and Mark Doyle scored from the spot. Another two goals were scored in the second half Richard Worrall and Alex Roussis. This game leaves Brotherhood to battle with Ael and Olympia to survive relegation.
Olympia 2 Tripimeni 3
This was an exciting game with both teams before the start of the match needing to win with Olympia trying to stave off relegation and Tripimeni with an outside chance of the championship.
Tripimeni started the game well and were leading 2-0 with the first a great header from Ahmet Rifat, the second also a great header but this time from Leon Fisher. Olympia went full steam the second half and got one back with Tarik and then great team work from Olympia led to Zane finishing it off with a great hit to make it 2-2. Then in the 80th minute Tripimeni’s Alfie Bartram scored from a penalty to make the final score 3-2.
Second Division
Achna 0 Livadia 10
New team Livadia in their first season have won promotion to the first division in their first season under manager Nick Demetriades and the committee of Michael and George Economides have done fantastically wel to achieve this. Achna started well and had 2 great chances but failed to convert. Livadia scored their first goal from a header from Nick Koutsoudis, within minutes Adem Ali scored a stunning free kick to make it 2-0. Livadia scored again with a goal from Elia Katsioloudi after a great move. Then Adem Ali scored again to make it 4-0 at half time. Livadia went on to dominate the game with 3 more goals from Adem Ali who scored 5 in total. Goals were also scored by Leo Agathangelou, Matthew Demetriades Danyal Ali. Final score 0-10.
Asha 0 Omonia 8
Omonia really went to town with a good win versus Asha. Allesandro Birri hit a hat trick. Alex Anderson 2, Yiannis 2 and an own goal. Easy victory. 5-0 at half time. Omonia started game without regular goalkeeper. Played with two different keepers either side of the interval. (Greg and Tony K). Great passing and possession football. Clinical in front of goal. Keeps their promotion hopes alive. They are now unbeaten under the new management of Michael Pieri and Koullis Antoniou. Huge game this Sunday with their fellow promotion contenders Komi Kebir.
Arachne 5 Pantel 3
Arachne are back in the top three with this win Loz Toumazos opened the scoring for them in the 25th minute. Adonis Pratsides scored in the 30th minute with a great solo effort taking on 3 defenders. 35th minute a fantastic team goal with Leo Charalambous putting in Adonis for his second goal. Pantel scored with a fine goal from Alex just before half time going into the break 3-1. In the 55th minute John Holmes chips the Pantel keeper to make it 4-1. Pantel scored in the 65th minute with a thirty yard shot from Larry making it 4-2. Pantel then got a penalty which the Arachne keeper Aidan Lynch saved. He was brilliant all game. Arachne made it 5-2 with Adam Alt. Pantel got a late consolation goal from Andreas to make it 5-3.

Pendayia 1 Anorthosis 2
Anorthosis have their star striker Danny Coolridge to thank for with two goals in the 15th and 55th minute they were both great individual goals with Danny pressing forward with dribbles and eventually slipping the ball past the ongoing keeper.
Pendayia got one back in the 65th with Stelios Chiotis but it was too late to stop Anorthosis in their tracks.
