Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup holders Omonia will be aiming to seal their place in their third successive final on Wednesday night but will need to overcome last season’s finalists AEL.
In the other semi-final on Wednesday, AEK Larnaca will need to overturn a 2-0 deficit at home to Apollon Limassol.
Toni Savevski’s Omonia are currently on a blistering run of form and go into their Limassol encounter against Jorge Costa’s AEL needing a scoring draw or a victory after the first leg in Nicosia ended 0-0.
Goals from Fotos Papoulis and Alex Konstantinou gave Apollon a valuable 2-0 lead from the first leg in Limassol and will now be looking to secure their place in their first final since 2010 when they beat APOEL 2-1.
