Prestigious award for Cypriot brain professor
Professor Christos Pantelis received this year’s international Robert Sommer Award in Germany for his research in psychiatry.
The Cypriot Australian professor – who is a Professor of Neuropsychiatry & NHMRC Senior Principal Research Fellow, Scientific Director, Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre at the University of Melbourne & Melbourne Health – travelled to Giessen Germany to receive the award at the Justus Leibeg University. As part of the awards ceremony, Professor Pantelis got to conduct an orchestra with his daughter Zoe looking on.
The Robert Sommer Award recognises health professionals for their work in the advancement of research in psychiatry and is made every two years
