Cyprus external trade deficit decline to €294.95 million in January 2013 marking a decrease of €27.7 million compared with €322.65 of January 2012.

According to figures released by Cyprus Statistical Service, January total imports declined by €4.25 million to €410.9 million of which €247.9 million (€274.57 in January 2012) were imports from other EU member-states whereas €163 million (€140 million in Jan 2012) of the total imports came from non-EU states.

Total imports in January 2013 increased by €23.44 million at €115.9, of which €62.4 were exported to other EU member-states and €53.5 million to non-EU countries. In January 2012 exports to EU countries stood at €56.91 million and to non-EU countries werea€35.56
