Polling stations in the United Kingdom opened at 0800 local time (1000 Cyprus time) for the presidential elections in Cyprus.
A total of 13 polling stations are open in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Bristol, for 6,124 registered voters.UK stations will be open from 8am until 4pm with only a half hour break between noon and 12.30pm.
The UK have voting stations at the Cypriot High Commission in London and the Cypriot Community Centre in Wood Green, London. There are two in both Manchester and Birmingham while Leeds and Bristol will have one voting station each.
Polling stations in the UK will close at 1600 local time (1800 Cyprus time).
A total 11 candidates, including two women, are contesting this year’s elections.
Results are expected two hours after polling ends.
