The Big Fight!
With less than two weeks to go before the big fight between Chris “The Flash” Evangelou and Danny Connor at Wembley Arena on Saturday 9 March. The long awaited rematch for the Southern Area Light welterweight title. The Flash is entering into the final preparations. He has as always been taking his training to the elite level of the sport, with sparring against former British champion Ashley Theophane part of the gruelling regime.
In training Chris looks in absolutely peak condition and with the massive support of the Cypriot and British fans to roar him on the night, the fight should prove to be an exhilarating occasion.
Tickets are still available for this fantastic night of boxing, Darren Barker and Lee Purdy will be fighting on the same bill.
Darren Barker will fight Italian champion Simone Rotolo for the Vacant IBF Inter-Continental Middleweight Championship at the top of the bill of Betfair’s ‘London’s Finest’ show at Wembley Arena on March 9, live on Sky Sports. Barker’s title fight is supported by a mouth-watering clash between Lee Purdy and Carson Jones, Erick Ochieng’s English light middleweight title defence against Prizefighter star Terry Carruthers and an English title shot for cruiserweight Wadi Camacho against unbeaten China Clark.
