THE body of a man has been found in a burning allotment shed in East Finchley.
Firefighters were called to the allotments at the back of Chandos Road just after midnight in the early hours of this morning. There were a number of sheds on fire.
The body of a man was found in one of the sheds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fire was under control by 2am.
According to a spokesman from the London Fire Brigade the body was “affected by the fire”.
Police are awaiting formal identification.
A post mortem is to be carried out in order to determine the cause of death.
Police say they are not treating the incident as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing.
