Driver rushed to hospital after lorry overturns on M25 near Potters Bar
A MAN was hospitalised this morning (Thursday) after the lorry he was driving overturned on the M25.
The heavy goods vehicle fell onto its side at 2.56am between junctions 23 (South Mimms) and 24 (Potters Bar), causing the closure of a slip road at junction 23.
The driver, who is in his 50s, had minor injuries and was taken to Barnet General Hospital for treatment.
The slip road was shut for four to five hours by Highways, causing severe rush hour traffic delays and was opened again at 7.40am.
Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance service, said: “A man in his 50s has been hospitalised after a truck overturned this morning at 2.56am between junctions 23-24.
“The man sustained minor injuries and was taken to Barnet Gen Hospital for further care
