The Cypriot Golf Society held their AGM at Muswell Hill Golf Club.

Before the AGM a tournament was held

The outgoing Captain Michael Tsangarides thanked  the sponsors, congratulated all the 2012 winners and thanked all the members for their support throughout the year and their generosity for raising £2760.00 for his favourite charity, Breathing Life Trust. As he promised last year when he was first elected captain he would double the amount raised.

Reports to the AGM were followed by the outgoing President Chris Antoniou, the Secretary Peter Sandamas, the competitions Panayiotis Poyiadzis. A vote of thanks to the committee by the Player of the Year Lakis Chrysostomou was followed by the election of officers and committee members:

New elected Cypriot Golf Society President Louis Tsioupra

The new captain, Andrew Savva, wished to carry on with all the good work past captains did and his wish to see new members coming through. He talked about the upcoming golfing holiday to Majorca in April and the competitions for the 2013 season beginning with the Liveras Foundation Trophy on 10th April. He also announced that the charity to benefit from the captains sweepstakes in 2013 will be the Leukaemia Society UK. He finished with reading a poem written by Stephanos Stephanides with special emphasis on how the body slows down and malfunction when getting old. Stephanos is the father of the Society at 76. As there were no other business he closed the meeting.
