Barnet welcome Rochdale to Underhill today and Edgar Davids believes the Bees will drag other sides into the League Two relegation if they can get positive results.

The Bees sit 20th in the table while the Dale are eight points ahead in 16th – although they have won just one of their last six matches.

Barnet go into the game off the back of their 2-1 victory at York City and Davids hopes his side can “get a good streak in” and start to move up the table.

He said: “Every point is welcome for us. It is crowded at the bottom and if we can win games then we are dragging other teams down with us in the battle.

“You see with Bristol Rovers that they moved up the table very quickly after getting a few back-to-back wins.

“So we need to get a good streak in and then I hope we will get a solid position in the table.”

He continued: “You know the rest of the season is going to be tough. You look at the table and at the bottom it is all close.

“So when you are coming towards the end of the season the pitches are not going to be as good as they were at the start. So then you need to switch to another playing style.

“Against York we showed that we can mix it up, we can win the second balls and win ugly if we have to,” the Dutchman added.

The Bees will be without Ricky Holmes (ankle) and Steve Kabba (knee) while Jon Nurse is likely to miss the game after suffering a concussion against York.

Bondz N’Gala and Chiro N’Toko left the field against the Minstermen with knocks but they should be available for the game
