Teenagers arrested for throwing bricks onto M25 are bailed
FIVE 13-year-old boys from Waltham Abbey who were arrested for throwing bricks onto the M25 have been bailed pending further enquiries.
The boys were arrested on Tuesday (January 1) on suspicion of causing criminal damage with intent to endanger life and have been bailed until February 22 and 23.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses after at least four vehicles were hit by bricks thrown from a footbridge close to Lodge Lane.
Police were called at about 6.25pm on Tuesday after drivers reported windscreen damage to two heavy goods vehicles and a recovery truck.
The cab roof of a second recovery truck was also hit and was slightly damaged. There were no injuries.
Detectives believe that other vehicles were struck but drivers might not have been aware of the incidents. Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact detectives at Loughton CID on 101.
