A 34-year-old man was murdered last night in Limassol in what police believe was a feud over drug money.

Yiannakis Christodoulou, known as Foxy, was intercepted as he was driving in a Limassol suburb shortly after 8 last night and was dragged out of his car by two men.

A police spokesman said a fight ensued and Foxy was mortally wounded with a pointed object, possibly a knife.

Neighbours who heard the noise of the fighting called the police and gave a description of the car the attackers fled in.

The police spokesman said 160 grams of cannabis and seven small packets containing a synthetic drug were found in the dead man’s car.

He said Foxy was a man known to the police and had been questioned on several occasions for drug offences.
