Larnaca teen remanded

LARNACA District Court yesterday ordered an eight-day remand for a 15-year-old boy in connection with a series of burglaries in Larnaca between June and December last year.

Police said the 15-year-old was questioned and confessed to having committed 18 break-ins and burglaries in total. All burglaries took place in the Ayioi Anargiroi area where items worth over €20,000 including jewellery, money and laptops were stolen.

They said the teen had admitted to committing seven more break-ins, and that he was also involved in other offences, which are being investigated.

Police are carrying out investigations to determine who fenced the stolen items and whether the boy had any accomplices.
