Cyprus will be taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 after all. After fears that the financial situation would mean that the island could not afford to enter, CyB announced this week that it felt it was important for the island to have a presence in the competition, which is particularly popular with viewers.
The competition in Malmo will be one that is tailored for the difficult times, the corporation said, adding that CyBC would not be burdened with an extra cost in taking part as revenue from the event last year had been higher than expected.
It will take place on May, 14, 16 and 18.
