Cyprus tourist arrivals down

Tourist arrivals in November were down 9.5% compared with the same month last year.
There were 84,020 arrivals compared to 92,878 in November 2011.
According to the results of the Passengers Survey of Statistics, tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom decreased by 15.5% (29,392 in November 2012 compared to 34,796 in November 2011), while arrivals from Germany decreased by 33, 9% (11,188 compared to 16,934 last year).
However, there was a 66.3% increase in arrivals from Russia (from 6,496 in November 2011 to 10,806 in November 2012) and a 7.7% increase from Greece (from 9,566 last year to 10,301 this year).
According to the survey, for the period January – November 2012, tourist arrivals totalled 2,410,136 compared with 2,326,889 in the corresponding period of 2011, an increase of 3.6%.
