Serious clashes took place outside the entrance of the House between police and representatives of large families .
The protesters, angered by planned cuts in benefits, tried to smash down the glass front door of the House.
The trouble began after a three-member delegation had met House president Yiannakis Omirou.
Protesters smashed flowerpots and threw eggs at the door of the House. The protesters then moved to the Ministry of Labour.
Representatives of disabled groups later gathered outside the House.
