Meanwhile, Yeni Duzen (02.11.12) reports also that Izzet izcan, general secretary of the United Cyprus Party (BKP) has said that there is an island named Cyprus and that the Republic of Cyprus is neither a Greek island nor an extension of Anatolia. In a written statement issued yesterday, Izcan noted that Erdogan’s statement that “there is no country named Cyprus” showed once more the insincerity of the Turkish Prime Minister. Izcan pointed out that the Republic of Cyprus is a state in which the Turkish Cypriots and the Greek Cypriots are politically equal. He said that the solution to be found to the Cyprus problem will be secured by turning the Republic of Cyprus into a bi-communal, bi-zonal federation.
I think erdogan should be checked in for amnesia or something, the whole world recognises Cyprus including tbe Turkish Cypriots, he is obviously stoking tensions in the area and is not doing Turkey any favours either.
When will this Turkish Government give us our land back? They have taken it long enough. As for their statement “There is no country called cyprus” they should look in the Bible where they talk about the Apostles visiting Cyprus. Get real Turks.
Just because I live in Australia doesn’t mean I don’t care. Peace to us all.
Erdogan should shut up and worry about his own internal problems. Its time Ayse returned home. Cyprus for Cypriots.
