The remains of what is believed to be the youngest person killed during the 1974 Turkish invasion have been found in Trachoni in the Kythrea area of the occupied north.
According to reports, bones of a baby just months old were exhumed from a mass grave on the old Nicosia to Famagusta road near Trachoni village.
First indications suggest the remains belong to Andreas Kyriakou (born 1974), who was found buried along with his mother and grandmother and six other bodies that have yet to be unidentified.
The unarmed victims are thought to have been killed by Turkish soldiers during the invasion.
An estimated 1,600 Greek Cypriots went missing during the Turkish invasion in 1974. The remains of many were found in mass graves or at the bottom of wells.
