A 17-year-old moped rider died yesterday morning from injuries he received in a hit-and-run accident last Saturday.
The accident happened in the early hours in an underpass near Mouttagiaka. The moped was struck by a car that failed to stop and Andreas Loizou received severe head injuries. He had not been wearing a helmet.
His passenger, who was wearing a helmet, also received serious injuries.
