A 28-year-old Syrian man has been arrested accused of rape.
A 13-year-old girl, accompanied by her mother went to a Paphos police station saying that the girl had been raped by the man who had been helping to to repair work on their home.
She said that the incident occurred on August 28 but she had only decided to tell her mother yesterday.
A warrant was issued for the man and he was arrested.
