The mayor of Larnaca (Photo above) has reassured residents in the Drosha suburb of Larnaca that there is no danger to their safety — after a fuel leak was spotted during construction work in the area.

The mayor said that all the necessary safety measures have been taken to ensure the safety of locals.

The leak came to light during the second phase of construction of Larnaca’s sewage system.
