Over to crime on the island as thieves in Larnaca robbed a jewellery store in the Phaneromeni area and made off with around 20 thousand euros worth of items.

According to  CyBC  the robbers entered the store under the pretence of being customers and asked to view a specific item.

The robbers then tied the female employee to a chair and smashed display cases before collecting the pieces of jewellery.

Police reported of a third accomplice in the robbery, who was waiting outside in the get-away car.

Police are investigating the case.
