The Cyprus government and the President of the Republic rule out the country’s exit from the Eurozone and the EU, Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou said earlier today.

In a written statement, Stephanou also noted that the government applied for financial assistance from the EU bailout mechanism, adding that negotiating with the Troika (European Commission, ECB, IMF) is a priority now, in order to attain the best possible bailout terms, defend worker’s gains and safeguard the perspective of the country’s economy.
