The government said it will continue to work within the legal framework in a bid to implement the proposed Chinese investment of the old Larnaca Airport.
Government spokesman Stefanos Stefanou reiterated that it is for exactly this reason why the government has asked the attorney-general to examine all of the legal aspects of the issue.
He added, that two committees have been set up — one being a ministerial committee and the other technocratic — to quickly and thoroughly examine all of the other aspects surrounding the investment.
Stefanou repeated that a meeting of the political parties will take place to discuss the economy, adding that the government’s stance on this will be both creative, substantial and comprehensive , since specific positions will be put forward at the meeting.
