AEK U10 – Blue Division League Game

Hadley Wood & Wingate Foxes (1) – (3) AEK Youth

On a gloriously hot Sunday morning, AEK U10 kicked off their league campaign with some scorching football, more than equal to the weather.

The first half saw AEK enjoy considerable possession which they used effectively. They displayed some slick passing and some very solid defending. AEK were rewarded with a two goal lead at half time. The first goal was a result of some neat moves through midfield and a very accurate finish into the corner from Thomas Pritchett. The second came from a strong in swinging shot from Jack Lancaster which deceived the opposition goalkeeper.

In the second half Hadley Wood started strongly and for long periods AEK had to demonstrate discipline and strong defending to maintain their lead. Some breathing space came midway through the second half when Thomas Pritchett netted his second goal of the game with a very calm and controlled finish. Hadley Wood scored with the final kick of the match which was fair reward for their strong contribution to what was a very good game.

A great start to the 2012/13 season.
