AEK Larnaca caused a shock overcoming Omonia 1-0 at the GSP while APOEL made short work of Alki beating the home side 3-0 and Anorthosis also got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Doxa.
AEK’s Da Silva smashed an 85 minute winner to pile on more misery for Omonia giving the Larnaca side three wins out of three — it was the same start as APOEL who were untroubled at Doxa with Adorno again getting on the score sheet. Both teams are joint top on nine points with AEK yet to concede a goal.
Anorthosis are not far behind on seven points as Okkas and Rezek eached scored in a two minute blitz after the interval. AEL need  three points in the Limassol derby against Apollon on Monday to stay up with the leaders.
