The 2012 World Championship in Compak Shooting will take place on 14 – 16 September 2012, at the Nicosia Olympic Shooting Range, in Latsia, Nicosia.

According to an announcement issued by Cyprus Shooting Sport Federation (SKOK), world-class shooters will participate in the Championship such as the British George Digweed, the Italians Michael Spada and Veniero Spada, and the women Beartiz Cuenca Laparra from Spain and Janie Bridman from England, to name a few.

Cypriot shooters will have a unique opportunity to compete with world-class athletes and show that Cyprus sport shooting has made enormous steps in FITASC sports.

So far, 320 athletes from 25 countries will participate in the Championship and the number of participants is expected to rise, as next Thursday’s opening ceremony is approaching.
